Climate change is a life-changing threat to the world. It is a change in temperature or weather pattern in a particular location or could even be the whole world. The majority of people think that it is a future problem, however, this is happening now. It is important to act now before it gets too late. People understand the importance of trying to stop it, however, no one knows how to help out.
We’ve been leading eco-friendly web design since the beginning of Giraffe Digital. It is essential to every one of our team members. We’ve always tried to do everything we can to reduce CO2 emissions. This is made possible by our partnership with MoreTrees and Ecologi.
MoreTre
MoreTrees plants a tree automatically for us every time we raise an invoice of over £500, they use an advanced API integration system to do this. Planting trees not only helps to reduce your carbon footprint, but it also helps communities throughout the world that may not be as lucky as we are here.
Since starting with more trees, we have created an impact as follows:
- 70 trees planted
- 21.00 t carbon offset
Ecologi
We are also partnered with an amazing company called Ecologi. Ecologi has created a bespoke plan for us each month based on our carbon footprint. This plan ensures that we are offsetting our CO2, and are being climate positive. Each month from Ecologi we get an updated report of how many trees have been planted on our behalf and what our sustainability impact has looked like – you can see that here.
Since we started with Ecologi we have created an impact as follows:
- 20 months climate positive workforce
- 64.65 t of carbon reduction
- 1032 trees in their forest
